Conduct reflects our mission and core values of passion,
inclusivity, community, kindness, excellence, confidence,

creativity, integrity, and fun.

By being part of SSDC, we expect all participants to follow this
Code of Conduct to ensure a welcoming and supportive

atmosphere for everyone.

1. Respect and Inclusivity

• Treat all dancers, teachers, staff, and parents with respect
and kindness, regardless of age, skill level, or background.
• Embrace inclusivity and encourage a sense of belonging for

everyone in the SSDC community.

• Support and celebrate the successes of others, both big and

small.

2. Kindness and Compassion

• Foster a culture of kindness by offering encouragement,

empathy, and positivity to fellow dancers.
• Avoid negative behaviour such as bullying, gossip, or

exclusion.

• Lift others up and be a positive role model at all times.

3. Commitment and Excellence

• Attend classes, rehearsals, and performances with a positive

attitude and readiness to learn.

• Strive to do your personal best and embrace challenges with

dedication and perseverance.

• Follow instructions, be punctual, and come prepared with the

necessary attire and equipment.

• Be honest, reliable, and accountable for your actions and

commitments.

• Respect SSDC property, including the studio space,
equipment, and personal belongings of others.
• Follow safety guidelines and listen to coaches to ensure a

secure environment for everyone.

• Work together and support each other as a team, fostering a

spirit of cooperation and collaboration.

• Offer help to others when needed and contribute positively to

the studio environment.

• Be considerate of the feelings and needs of others, both on

and off the dance floor.

Enforcement of Code of Conduct

At SSDC, we are dedicated to ensuring a positive experience
for all members of our community. Any behaviour that violates
this Code of Conduct may result in a discussion with coaches,
a meeting with parents, or further disciplinary action if
necessary. Our goal is to maintain a supportive and respectful
environment where everyone feels valued and safe.
