The Heart Behind SSDC

Meet the director and owner of SSDC – Miss Grace

My name is Grace Mattingly, and I am the proud Artistic Director and owner of Street Slamin Dance Centre in East Wagga, NSW. As we move into our fifth successful year, I am thrilled to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had and the exciting future ahead!

Dance has been a part of my life since the age of four, and Street Slamin has been the culmination of my lifelong passion. Over the past four years, I have dedicated myself to creating a studio that embodies excellence, inclusivity, and community spirit. At Street Slamin, we offer diverse styles including Jazz, Hip Hop, Pom, Contemporary and Broadway, fostering a well- rounded dance education for all our students.

Our dancers have achieved remarkable success in competitions at local, state, and national levels, and I am incredibly proud of the talent, determination, and teamwork they display. This year, our dedication and hard work reached a new pinnacle as our teams earned bids to compete in ‘The Finals’ in Florida, USA, in 2025—a milestone that marks the biggest achievement of my career so far. We are also honoured to be performing at Disneyland, a dream come true for our dancers and a testament to their commitment and passion.

At Street Slamin, my core values are simple yet powerful:
• Technical Excellence: Striving for the highest quality of

dance training.

• Supportive Environment: Building a community where every

dancer feels welcomed, valued, and inspired.
• Passion and Dedication: Instilling a love for dance,

resilience, and teamwork.

• Inclusivity: Creating a space where all dancers, regardless of

skill level, can thrive and shine.

I have high expectations for myself, my staff, and my dancers because I believe in the potential of every student who walks through our doors. Whether you’re here to compete, perform, or simply enjoy the joy of dance, Street Slamin is your home—a place to grow, connect, and create lifelong memories.

I am so excited for everything we will achieve together this year and beyond. Thank you for being part of the Street Slamin family, and here’s to an extraordinary year filled with growth, creativity, and success!

Let’s keep shining, dancing, and reaching for the stars!
